Change in Toronto’s child population

The 2016 Census reported that Toronto’s population had increased 4.5% since the last Census. In comparison, Toronto’s child population (children 14 years and younger) decreased slightly over this same period, the map below shows that the decrease was not uniform across the city. In fact many areas experienced significant growth in the number of children while some areas experienced a decline.
